Abstract

Alex Posell, known as DJ Abstract, is a San Francisco drum and bass and breakbeat producer whose right arm bears a tattoo of the Razor's Edge logo, the sub-label of Goldie's Metalheadz crew, signaling both his musical allegiances and his drive to stay on the cutting edge of the genre. He owns Pneuma Recordings, one of several Bay Area drum and bass labels, alongside Thermal Recordings and Green Label, that gave a home to the collective Phunckateck's early work.
