Biography
Barry Weaver started DJing in LA in the mid-1980s, drawing on early influences of disco, soul, funk, new wave, punk, and hip hop alongside the first wave of Chicago acid house and Detroit techno. He got his start in music playing saxophone at nine, and found his way to DJing after being profoundly influenced by DJ Bobby Viteritti's sets at San Francisco's Trocadero Transfer in the late 1970s.
Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s he moved between San Francisco and Los Angeles, taking part in the underground parties that helped shape the early rave and acid house movement, and in 1992 hosted mixes on the Zero Hour show on Claremont's KSPC 88.7 FM. He's since produced music solo and with his longtime friend DJ Dan under their EZDB collaboration, and recorded the release Social A with fellow LA DJ Thee-O.
