From San Francisco, California

Carlos Hernandez followed his father and uncle into DJing, working at a Latin club in San Francisco when a promoter from A Rave Called Sharon discovered him in 1992 and invited him to play. He was soon playing every weekend rave in the city, and by 1993 held residencies at Recycle on Wednesdays, Universal Groove on Thursdays, and Spundaze on Sundays, on top of Saturday raves.

In 1994 he started his own party, CDCSoundsystem, with DJ Dutch and DJ Christoff, and began flying to Denver to play Come Together alongside DJ Dan, Hipp-E, Halo, and Terry Mullan. By 1995 he was touring nationally, playing Area 51 in San Francisco (where Josh Wink headlined) alongside Jeno and Astral Matrix, and taking bookings across the Midwest, Northwest, and New York, including Twilo.

He played Nikita with Sasha in 1998, then took a few years off before returning to DJ at Fiddler's Green in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. He now runs Toltek Productions.
