Biography
Aaron Albano, born in Syosset, New York, and raised in Stony Brook, discovered progressive breakbeat and early jungle in high school through Mickey Finn, Prodigy, and Meat Beat Manifesto, and started DJing while studying audio engineering at the University of Miami. In 1996 he met Fred Sargolini at a Manhattan party, and the two began recording together as Ming & FS, releasing early breakbeat tracks as Lead Foot before opening their own production studio and label.
The duo toured the world introducing international audiences to electronic music, opening for acts including Sting, Run-DMC, and Moby, and their albums include Hell's Kitchen (1999), The Human Condition (2001), and Subway Series (2002). As MING, Albano has since become a Grammy-nominated producer and remixer, working with Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Ellie Goulding, and collaborating on tracks for deadmau5's Mau5trap and Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records.
