DJ Shiva

Noncompliant, who performed as DJ Shiva in the 1990s, grew up in small-town Indiana on a diet of 80s synth pop and punk rock before finding barnyard raves and warehouse techno parties, becoming a fixture of the Midwest's fabled 90s rave scene. Nearly three decades and a name change later, Mixmag named her one of its Top 20 Breakthrough DJs in 2017, and she's since played Berghain and Tresor in Berlin, Chicago's Smartbar, and festivals including Unsound and Movement Detroit, launching her own label, Giant Arm, in 2023.
