Biography
Dr S Gachet learned to DJ through London's reggae sound systems in the mid-1980s before moving into the acid house club circuit as the scene took off in the late '80s. A pivotal night came in 1990 at Bentleys in Bognor Regis, where he stepped in for a missing DJ and played to a crowd of 2,000, launching residencies and regular slots at London venues including Camden Palace, the Paradise Club, and AWOL between 1990 and 1994.
In 1995 he founded the label Audio Maze, releasing drum and bass staples including "Remember the Roller" and "Forbidden Agenda," and later launched a house and garage label, Johnny Biscuit. He guest-hosted BBC Radio 1's One in the Jungle in 1996 and 1997, played the first Logical Progression nights at Turnmills, and has toured extensively across Europe, North America, Japan, and Australia.
