Fred Everything

Frédéric Blais, known as Fred Everything, was born in Hull, Quebec, and grew up in Quebec City, where he began experimenting with music young, eventually playing in live bands and writing music for theater and fashion shows. Drawn into the acid house scene through early UK Warp Records releases, he began DJing at raves and clubs in Quebec City and Montreal, opening for Sasha at Montreal's Metropolis club night in 1993.

He moved to Montreal in 1996 and became one of deep house's early pioneers, releasing more than 250 tracks across a career spanning three decades, including his 2004 album Light of Day, voted Best House Album of the Year by DJ Magazine. In 2005 he launched his own label, Lazy Days Recordings, and has remixed artists including Curtis Mayfield, Jazzanova, and Groove Armada, twice earning JUNO Award nominations.
