From Glasgow, Scotland

James Harrigan, known as Harri, began playing at Glasgow's Sub Club, or its predecessor, in 1986 and became a resident there. In the early 1990s he teamed up with Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle of Slam for the club's Saturday night Atlantis, running it together for four years until Slam's departure in 1994.

He then joined forces with fellow Glasgow DJ Domenic Cappello to create Subculture, the Sub Club's flagship Saturday night and one of the longest continuously running weekly house nights in the world. Harri also held a five-year London residency with Kenny Hawkes at Plastic People, regarded as one of the best house nights of the 1990s, and was voted one of the world's top 100 DJs by DJ Magazine for two consecutive years.
