Markie

Mark Rowley, known as Markie, came to San Francisco from the UK's Tonka Sound System and became one of the founding members of Wicked Sound System in 1991, alongside DJ Garth, Jeno, and Thomas Bullock, helping launch the crew's Full Moon parties that helped kickstart the city's rave scene. He briefly returned to the UK after Wicked's first Full Moon event, leaving Garth and local DJ Ernie Munson to keep the parties going until he came back.

He toured the US with Wicked's custom Turbosound rig aboard a 1947 Greyhound bus starting in 1994, and released singles alongside Garth on Grayhound Recordings. He continues to DJ in San Francisco under the Wicked banner today.
