Biography
Michael Liu began DJing in 1997, emerging as a dedicated advocate for Goa and psytrance culture in San Francisco's underground party scene after growing up on New Wave and industrial sounds in the 1980s. He quickly became a fixture across the Bay Area and Greater Los Angeles underground circuits, and founded the label Illumination Records.
He compiled Pisces 2009 for Power House Records, showcasing tracks from San Francisco's long-running Pisces gatherings, and in 2023 joined the roster of Maharetta Records as an official label DJ.
