Omar

Darius Aleksandar, who performed as Omar, was a prominent DJ in the early '90s Southern California rave scene, closely affiliated with Biohazard Productions and a frequent collaborator with Thee-O, releasing a series of influential mixtapes. Alongside his brother Jeff and Chris Long, he also co-founded Higher Source, the respected Los Angeles record store that later helped launch Jamie Thinnes and Dean DeCosta's label Earthtones Recordings.

After retiring the Omar name, he's recently returned to DJing under a new alias, Darius Aquarius.
