Biography
Rob Paine started DJing and throwing parties in Philadelphia in 1993 with his crew, Circle Productions, alongside Kevin Gimble, Keith Landis, and Sean Thomas, becoming one of the city's most consistent weekly presences through the '90s. He studied music theory at Temple University and began producing across house, techno, reggae, broken beat, and dub.
In 1998 he founded Worship Recordings with Dan Thompson, built around dub-influenced house and techno, and later launched The Shakedown, a monthly Philadelphia party that's run since 2002. He's since released music on labels including Bedrock, Fabric, and NRK, and in 2012 co-founded the goodie events series with Francisco Collazo.
