Simon Bassline Smith

Simon Smith started DJing at 17, pioneering the underground sound at UK all-day parties that helped form the basis of the rave scene, and earned the nickname "Bassline" after blowing speakers with his heavy sub bass sounds at those early events. Around that time he founded one of the first drum and bass labels, Absolute 2 Records, and later formed the duo Drumsound & Simon 'Bassline' Smith.
