Taj

Taj Valdespino is a San Francisco native who's been DJing since 1991, after being introduced to music at 13 playing standup bass, a background that later fed into production work. He teamed up with longtime friend Dave D to form the production team the Waller St. Boys, and with the Bay Area group E.T.I. produced the LP City of Gods for Oboro Records, which sold several thousand copies.

He held a seven-year residency at the legendary SF club 1015 Folsom, along with stints at Pablo's Sugar Shack and his own event, Zendada, plus club residencies with Spundae in San Francisco and United State of Consciousness in Seattle. In 1999, Peers and Punters voted him the most versatile DJ in San Francisco, and he's played dates for UK superclubs Ministry of Sound and Cream on their US tours.
