LTJ Bukem

Daniel Williamson, a classically trained pianist who discovered jazz fusion as a teenager, started DJing in the late 1980s and rose through the UK's early rave scene as LTJ Bukem. He founded Good Looking Records in 1991, using it to put out a jazzier, more melodic alternative to the hardcore sound that dominated the era, tracks like "Demon's Theme," "Atlantis," and "Music."

His 1995 track "Horizons," built around a melody from Lemon Sol's "Sunflash," became his best-known release, and he went on to run the London club night Speed and launch the Logical Progression compilation series in 1996, which helped define what came to be called intelligent drum and bass. His only album to date, Journey Inwards, came out in 2000 and reached No. 40 on the UK Albums Chart.
