Miles Maeda - Bliss (1992)
About This Mix
Fantastic early tribal / trance mix from one of my favorite DJs ever, Miles Maeda. According to Miles, this was the tape that started it all: "The rave scene was just emerging in Chicago, the sound was fresh and new, and the sense of community was strong all across the Midwest. Only 200 cassettes were produced, but it somehow reached many a raver near and far. I owe much to my time on the West Coast for the music and inspiration on here. This wouldn’t exist without the help of Sasha, Barry Weaver, Mark E Quark, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina and Josh Werner for recommending/supplying many of these musical gems!"
Unfortunately, I had to remove a segment from Side A around 22:50 which contained FSOL's Papua New Guinea due to copyright. Apologies for the interruption.
