Biography
Dave Sewell has DJed as DJ 3D since 1984, starting out playing electro funk before moving through breakbeat into jungle and drum and bass as the Chicago scene developed. From 1995 to 2003 he ran the rave promotion groups Uptempo Dance and Future Forces, throwing parties across Chicago, Madison, Rockford, and Indiana, including a Y2K New Year's Eve show with 144 DJs across 12 rooms.
He's released more than 50 records as DJ 3D and under the alias Desperado, and has had mixes played on Chicago stations B96, Q101, and WNUR.
