MC Fearless

Wayne Francis, known as MC Fearless, started out MCing on London's sound system circuit over ragga and rare groove before discovering acid house and connecting with the DJ outfit The Brainkillers and DJ Red Ant, who had their own show on the pirate station Innocent FM. When Innocent FM folded, he was recruited by the team behind the legendary Weekend Rush FM, and by 1989 had become part of the emerging jungle scene.

He's since become the resident MC for AWOL, one of the longest-running and most significant jungle nights in the UK, associated with Micky Finn, and has appeared alongside virtually every major name in the genre, including Fabio, Grooverider, Kenny Ken, Randall, Jumpin Jack Frost, and DJ Hype. He's been named Best Crowd Hype MC six times, and has toured the UK, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Canada, and the US, appearing at events including Fabric, Hospitality, and In:Motion.
