Terry Mullan

Terry Mullan grew up in suburban Chicago and started out spinning hip-hop around 1983, before switching to house as the city's scene took off in the mid-to-late '80s, drawing inspiration from WBMX radio DJs like Farley "Jackmaster" Funk and Ron Hardy. He later folded techno into his sets and relocated to the West Coast in the '90s, building a residency at San Francisco's Spundae club night.

He founded the label Catalyst Recordings, releasing music from DJ Sneak and Ian Pooley alongside his own work, and recorded as the Serotonin Project, a track from which appeared on the Chemical Brothers' mix album Brothers Gonna Work It Out. He's played clubs and festivals including Twilo, Coachella, and Ruby Skye, and toured Japan, Australia, and Germany.
